Many
Creative Uses for Your Wonky Beads |
|
As every lampworker knows, after a while,
you amass a quantity of beads that just aren't quite right. Sometimes
they're pretty beads with cracks or broken bits, sometimes they're
technically perfect, but ugly as sin.
Every beadmaker has a secret stash of "early beads"
which they'd just as soon not show to anyone - Ever - much less
sell them !! Then there are the ones with identity crises, which
you wanted to be one thing, but the glass wanted to be another.
Beads that you will never like, no matter what anyone
says.
Personally, I call all of these my WONKY BEADS.
Well, one day, a very brilliant
beadmaker named Jinx decided to hold a contest for all the other
beadmakers. "Show us what creative things you can do with
your not-quite-right beads!" she announced. No one responded.
"There's a PRIZE!"
she added. And out of the woodwork they came ! Wonky beads by
the score.
Of course, I couldn't be left
out.
In fact, since I had such a stunning collection of Wonky Beads
myself, not to mention a vivid imagination, oodles of space on
my website server, and entirely too much free time on my hands,
I felt sure I'd be a shoe-in.
So, in answer to the call of
"Show Us Your Wonky Beads!", here are my suggestions
for everyday uses for those humble, off-kilter, not quite right
beads that I seem to have in abundance.
And I have to add.... producing these pages has been the most
fun I've had in ages. Enjoy!

Addendum for the humor
impaired:
This segment of the website is intended as SATIRE and not to
be taken seriously. Please do not attempt to use beads in any
of the manners suggested if common sense dictates it could cause
harm to people, animals or property.
If you have no common sense to rely on, then just don't do it.
It's probably a bad idea.
Schermobeads has produced these wonky bead examples under strictly
controlled laboratory conditions, using only professional wonky
beadmakers. Please ! DO NOT attempt these wonky bead experiments
in your own home or there could be serious consequences! Yes,
that means YOU! (Who did you think I was talking to ?) |
