Ming contacted me in July about setting up a beginning beadmaking
class for him and two others in August.
Initially, I said I couldn't, due to
a full schedule, however, by the next morning, I realized that
I would be missing a great opportunity and experience. I wrote
back and scheduled the class.

Ming at
the Torch
He was a little bit surprised that even after two days of beadmaking,
he wasn't quite ready for the "Advanced" class he originally
asked me to teach them on day three... |

Here
I am with the Thai Guys -
Ming, Nui and Thor |
|
Ming and Nui's
family own an entertainment complex in Bangkok which includes
fine dining restaurants,
a dental clinic, a Bead Store. |
Thor is very precise, and did very well
making beads with much detail and careful dots.
He also keeps his side of the table
very
clean and neat !!
|
|
Thor and Nui, hard at work. Look at those expressions of intense
concentration!
They found out that beadmaking is not as easy as it looks!
|
|
Nui has great patience, and would spend
a lot of time getting the shape just right.
I was so pleased and impressed with
the beads these guys were making after just three days!
|
|
Ming is the wild and crazy guy in the group.
His beads were very creative, and colorful!
He hopes to take what he's learned and open the first beadmaking
school in Thailand.
After he practices a bit, of course.
(Right, Ming?)
|
He has a great sense of
humor, and loves to laugh.
That is a good thing, as he got to meet ...
|
|
...the
Bog Monster!
|
It was an interesting
cultural experience for all concerned. |
