Okay, so you KNOW
there's got to be a
story behind this monstrosity......
Oh, there is, there is... read on.....
And, no doubt Sharon would have her own
version, but mine's what REALLY happened..

The
Alien from Alameda
Measures: 7/8" high,
1 1/2" wide
Priceless.... I'd never sell this one.....
(Okay, I'll let it go for $50. bucks) |
The Story:
Sharon
Peters came to visit. (If you know
who Sharon is, that should be enough said...)
So, we were in my studio, happily torching
side by side when she looses concentration
(I have that effect on some people) and
sticks her hand in the flame. She burns
the bejeezers out of the skin between
thumb and forefinger, and then has the
audacity to blame it on my Creation Station,
saying she wasn't used to the elbow rests.(Yeah,
right. I thought you were a "professional",
Sharon!)
So, once we get her slathered with aloe
& lavender oil, we go back to playing.
Torching is out for her for a while, so
in order to keep her occupied, we agree
to do a collaboration bead. Under her
direction, I will make a bead. Hey, it
works for Chihuly, right?
So, this is what happens when Sharon comes
up with ideas, and Schermo carrys them
out. I call it," The Alien from Alameda",
'cause that's where Sharon is from, and
she's about as far out as they come.......
Well, except maybe for me. We make a good
pair.... but some really strange beads.

See how it undulates
back and forth....
reaching it's little tentacles out to
hug you....
Isn't it just the cutest little alien
you ever saw?
Don't you just want to take it home and
love it?
Or, put it in a cage..... |
