Valorie came
for the weekend from Yardley, Pennsylvania to learn glass beadmaking.
She has a background in graphic art, but has recently become
interested in beads and jewelry. We had a great deal of fun,
sometimes having to stop beadmaking in order to catch our breath
from laughing too hard. As you can see by looking at her beads
below, Valorie picked up many of the techniques very quickly
!
Here are some of the wonderful beads she made on the very first
day: |

And finally,
a picture of Valorie working in the torch - applying tiny dots
of glass to a bead,
using a sage green stringer of glass - a color that she custom
mixed herself ! |
