Elaine and Monica,
My new friends from The Philippines

In May 2005 I was delighted to host Elaine and Monica, two sisters-in-law who travelled from the Philippines to Virginia Beach to learn the art of glass beadmaking. Both very talented and artistic ladies, they wanted to have something they could do from their home, to expand their growing jewelry business.

Here I am with Elaine (on the left)
and Monica... on the right, obviously.
(That would be me, the rather large lump in the middle.)

I have to admit straight away, that these pictures may not be in chronological order, and are not identified by the beadmaker... In my usual fashion, I seem to have gotten distracted from putting this page up on my website last year, and now no longer remember who made what, when... Oops... Sorry, guys!
But really, all you need to know is that these are the beautiful beads that
Elaine and Monica made when they came to learn beadmaking from me.

Can you tell they like hearts and flowers? I can't wait to see what they'll be doing in the future!
